| Comments | Type by monotypy. Subgroup of Schizonema Agardh. Hanna (unpubl. ms) indicated that Moller (Verz. Lichtdrtf. Moll. Diat. Prap. 1892, p. 28) cited the name as 'Endostaurum crucigerum (Grun.) Breb.' but that Brebisson's use of the genus has not been found. |
