| Comments | Type by monotypy. Janish wrote (in German): this diatom was given to me in 1859 in prepared guano by Bourgogne and was labeled Margaritoxon cohnii. Later I convinced myself that it is identical with Ehrenberg's Entopyla australis...". Name invalidly published, because not accepted by the author, and merely cited as a synonym (see ICBN 1994 Art. 34.1.a-c). |
