Comments: Two species are originally included, Plagiolemma inflatum ('inflata') Paddock "gen. and sp. nov." and Plagiolemma confusa (Hendey) Paddock "comb. nov.". Although no type is unequivocally designated, the device "gen. and sp. nov." is placed after one species only, and we interpreted this typographical difference as indication of the type. Failure to accept this genus as originally typified would mean that the genus name is not validly published in Paddock 1988. Greuter et al. 1993, p. 882 (ref. 006911) listed P. inflatum as the type. |
