Comments Jousé 1974 (ref. 003194) gave a generic description, p. 351, and described three new species, K. edita, K. pacifica, K. minor. The generic name was not validly published by Jousé (1974) because she did not designate a type; the three species included by her are therefore not validly published either (see Art. 43). Round, Crawford & Mann (1990), p. 693 (ref. 003245) give K. edita as the type of Kozloviella. Since Jousé (1974) did not designate a type for K. edita , Round, Crawford and Mann (1990) entry for Kozloviella does not validate the name of the species K. edita, and their lectotypification of the genus with K. edita is not acceptable (the name of the type species is required to be validly published, see Art. 10.3). The genus name is therefore not validated by Round, Crawford & Mann (1990). The validation of the name Kozloviella edita requires that first a specimen that has been used for the original illustration be identified, and the museum in which it is deposited indicated. Fossil
