Mar 1823 (Rhodophyceae)”. VanLandingham's entry: "Chaos Schrank (1823?) [ref. 000809 ?]- Chaos infusorium F. Schrank 1823" seems incorrect as this genus name can not be found in Schrank 1823. The origin of SVL entry may be traced back to Rabenhorst 1853 (ref. 000772), who wrote, pg. 66: "Chaos infusorium Schrank Beitr.: Navicula fulva". |
