Comments: Genus described in Schrader 1969 (ref. 003203), p. 13, but invalidly published because 2 species are included (D. macra n.sp. and D. bivittata [Grun. & Pant.] n. comb.) and no type is designated (Schrader indicates that the type of the genus is on slide BM 77698 but does not indicate which species is the type). Name validated by Round, Crawford & Mann (1990), p. 689 (ref. 003245) who selected Drepanotheca macra as the type. |
