Comments In this paper, Deby comments on the article of Vorce C.M., "Affinities of Rhaphidodiscus. The Microscope, vol. 9, p. 132, t. VI, 1889 (ref. 001912)". He says (in French): "This work is not old yet being published in 1889, in The Microscope. Rhaphidodisci seem to us to include true Naviculae and also genera formed by 2 valves of different genera, one enclosed in the other one.- A friend from America created for the last ones the genus Humbugodiscus of which I own specimens in my collection proving without doubt the accuracy of our statement." Name invalid (intended as a joke, not as a new generic name). Later synonym of Raphidodiscus and Melonavicula.
