| Comments | SVL says: "according to Mills 1934, p. 720". Mills 1934 (ref. 006288), p. 720 reads:" Fibula W.Sm. erinacea, W.Sm. M.J. 1868, p. 16; Brit. Mus. Cat. p. 33; V.H. Le Microscope p. 322 & 339; Harbirschaw. cat. PERONIA ERINACEA." Harbishaw's catalogue (ref. 000453) reads: "FIBULA genus vide M.J. 1868 p. 16; W.M.S. Brit. Mus. cat. p. 33" . , The species Gomphonema fibula is listed in W. Smith 1859 (ref. 001881), p. 36; we could not find, however, the genus Fibula in this publication. Kitton 1868, p. 16 (ref. 002059), cites Fibula (as "Fibula, Smith, in Brit. Mus. Cat., p. 33) as a synonym of of his new genus Peronia. |
