| Comments | Type by monotypy. This genus name was validly published in Moesz 1904 with an illustration only because it is monospecific and it is published prior to 1908. This genus and species are described in a handwritten note by Pantocsek inserted in separate #005001 at CAS. The note is signed by Pantocsek and dated 15 magi [May] 1904. "Pseudosynedra Pant. n.g.- Valvis elongatis, angustis, cuneiformibus, directis, cum area longitudinali hyalina (Pseudoraphe) notatis - Pseudosynedra clavata Pant. - Valvis elongatis, angustis, cuneiformibus, 60 µm longis cum polis rotundatis, ad polum superiorem 4,5 µm ad inferiorem 3 µm latis, striatolatis; striis transversis, parallelis, usque ad pseudorhaphen percurrentibus, irregulariter dispositis ad dextram 11, ad sinistram visis 16 in 10 µm.
