| Comments | Name conserved vs. its rejected taxonomic synonym: Pyxidicula Ehrenberg 1834 (see ICBN 1988, p. 120, ref. 006921). Although Müller seems to have created this genus for Rhopalodia gibba, other Rhopalodia species are included in the original publication and Rhopalodia gibba cannot be regarded as the holotype. Pre-conservation lectotypification with R. gibba by Boyer 1927, p. 491 (ref. 000946). |
