| Comments | Five species are listed by Agardh, and no type is originally designated. Greuter et al. 1993 (ref. 006911) incorrectly classify this genus in the Bacillariophyceae. It is however classified in the Rhodophyceae-Ceramiaceae in Farr et al. 1979, and the name is clearly conserved as the name of a Rhodophycean genus (see ICBN 1994). |
