If it is so, the entry of Williams & Reid 2008, p. 125 (ref. 013127), as part of the transfer to this taxon to Cyclotella would constitute the valid publication of the name of a new taxon: Cyclotella sudanensis Bastow ex Williams & Reid 2008. Stephanodiscus sudanensis Bastow 1960 would remain invalid. |
