| Comments | Also in Grunow in Van Heurck, Syn. Diat. Belgique: pl. 27, fig. 1, 2. 1880 (ref. 000895). Could be treated a the name of a new taxon, however, it is probably a new combination rather than a new taxon: Cleve 1895, Nav. II, p. 190 (ref. 000949) cites "Achnanthidium hungaricum Grun. Verh. 1863, p. 146, pl. 4, fig. 8" as the basionym. Figures in Grunow 1863, and “Synopsis” are similar enough to believe synonymy, but not identical. | ||
