| Comments | Clearly not intended by H.L. Smith as the name of a new taxon. In H.L. Smith as Amphora laevissima Greg[ory]. H.L. Smith also cites in printed schedule of notes: "G.D.C. iv, 72" (i.e. original reference for A. laevissima Greg.). Cited by Cleve 1895, p. 130 (ref. 000949) as a synonym of A. laevis Greg. var. minuta Cleve. Cleve's opinion resulted in the "sensu H.L. Smith" entry in VanLandingham's catalogue. | ||
