| Comments | Simonsen 1987, p. 54 (ref. 003164) indicates that Hustedt’s taxon is identical with Cocconeis exigua var. constricta Torka 1909. Hustedt 1930, p. 202, and Hustedt 1933, p. 386, text. fig. 832-g (ref. 000507) recognize this fact, and his own taxon is not even mentioned in these publications. |
