De Toni 1894, p. 1392 (ref. 000951) indicated that this taxon belongs in Actinoptychus sensu ampl., but did not validly publish the combination (taxon listed as Omphalopelta japonica Cast.). The combination may have been published by De Toni in Notarisia 1889, p. 760 (not seen by us). The combination is definitely valid in Peragallo 1897. |
