Van Heurck cites Gregory, but also refers to"Type [du Synopsis] no. 12", and pl. 1, fig. 21 (i.e. Van Heurck 1880, ref. 000895), a specimen illustrated as Amphora angulosa var. hybrida Grun. Accepted and treated by Cleve 1895, p. 121 (124) as a different taxon than Gregory's (Amphora coffeaeformis var. angularis V.H. ex Cleve). Renamed Amphora angulosa by H. Peragallo & M.
