DIAGNOSIS
This medium-sized species has a distinctive dark spot at the base of the forewing that no other species of Visca has.

TYPE LOCALITY
Lectotype (abdomen destroyed): Madagascar, Grandidier, 88.
GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION
This species is found in the area to the east of the capital, Antananarivo.
TEMPORAL DISTRIBUTION
December and January.
ELEVATION
1000 to 1400 m.

REMARKS
Stange (2004) has synonymized Chabalus ineptus Navas, 1935 from Perinet with this species.
