Geographical Distribution
This is the most common and widely distributed species of Podallea and is found throughout most of tropical Africa. Within Madagascar it has been collected primarily in the southern part of the country.

September and October.

Unknown.
Remarks
There have recently been many collections of Podallea made from all over the country, and this species will probably be found to be much more widely distributed in Madagascar than previously indicated.
