Diagnosis

In Mallada the male has a tignum and a short, trifid gonapsis.

Type Locality

MADAGASCAR: Toliara Province, Tsihombe District, Beloha, 1 female.

Geographical Distribution

This species is endemic to Madagascar.  It has only been collected in the southern part of the country.

October and November.

Elevation

Known collecting localities appear to be at low elevations.

Remarks

From Hölzel & Duelli (1990) "The eggs are green and deposited singly. The larva is a trash carrier with reddish-brown body markings." There is a photo of the larva in Hölzel & Duelli (1990).

I have been unable to find any good descriptions or illustrations of the adult.
