Synonyms
= Madachrysa seyrigi Navás, 1934 (synonymy proposed by Hölzel & Ohm (1992)).
Diagnosis
This is a very large species with a wing length of 31 mm; or a wingspread of almost 2.5 inches. It has a large dark spot at the base of the pterostigma and no other dark markings on the wing. It has no intramedian cell.

Geographical Distribution
This species is endemic to Madagascar. Within the country there are several scattered records in the southern part of the country and one record from Montagne d'Ambre [Tsaratanana] in the north.

January to April.

825 to 960 m.
Remarks
Tjeder (1973) has provided very good illustrations of male and female genitalia of this species under the name M. seyrigi.
