WORLD CHECKLIST OF EXTANT MECOPTERA SPECIES

EOMEROPIDAE

This family of mecopterans is known from a single existing species found in the southern beech forests of southern Chile. Adults are flattened with very reticulate wing venation. They run over the forest floor at night, like cockroaches, and most often are collected by baiting with an oatmeal trail. Larval stages are unknown.
