Common River Frog, Rana angolensis

Family Ranidae. A large inhabitant of creek and river banks; there are probably a number of undescribed cryptic species contained within the enormous range of this taxon as presently recognized.

Habitat: aquatic habitats throughout the Impenetrable Forest.

Range: Angola, eastern Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya south to Zambezi River.
