Kivu Treefrog, Leptopelis kivuensis

 

Family Hyperoliidae. Largest treefrog in the Impenetrable Forest; there is considerable size dimorphism in adults, and juveniles are always bright green with white elbows and knees.

Habitat: common in bushes, sedges and plants near water, throughout the forest at higher elevations.

Range: eastern Congo, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
