Glade treefrog, Leptopelis argenteus

Family Hyperoliidae. Nocturnal. Calls from bushes and trees in glades and other forest openings near temporary water. Call a strange bimodal combination of a whine or scream followed by a series of "clacks." This group buries eggs in moist soil; after hatching, tadpoles make their way over the surface of the soil where development continues.

Size to 35 mm.
