Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:62 [ref. 12291]. •Synonym of Syngnathus auliscus (Swain 1882) -- (Fritzsche 1980:201 [ref. 1511], Dawson 1985:184 [ref. 6541], Castro-Aguirre et al. 1999:230 [ref. 24550]). Current status: Synonym of Syngnathus auliscus (Swain 1882). Syngnathidae: Syngnathinae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
