R.] 2003:43, Fig. 11 [Zootaxa 287; ref. 27077] Small creek into the Río Cricamola, near Konkitu, Bocas del Toro Province, Panama, 8°59'N, 81°55'W. Holotype: CAS 72209. Paratypes: CAS 217109 (1). Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[19] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Gymnotus panamensis Albert & Crampton 2003 -- (Crampton & Albert 2003:2 [ref. 27433], Maldonado-Ocampo & Albert 2004:2 [ref. 27978], Crampton et al. 2005:99 [ref. 28092], Milhomem et al. 2012:804 [ref. 31815], Ferraris et al. 2017:[19] [ref. 35236], Craig et al. 2019:102 [ref. 37060] in subgenus Tijax). Current status: Valid as Gymnotus panamensis Albert & Crampton 2003. Gymnotidae: Gymnotinae. Distribution: Cricamola River drainage, Panama. Habitat: freshwater.
