Current status: Valid as Myloplus levis (Eigenmann & McAtee 1907). Serrasalmidae: Myleinae. Distribution: South America: Paraguay-Paraná River basin (Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
