Paratypes: CAS-SU 7063 (2). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:109 [ref. 12291]. •Valid as Sicydium cocoense (Heller & Snodgrass 1903) (often seen as cocoensis) -- (Hoese in Fischer et al. 1995:1135 [ref. 22829], Bussing 1996:824 [ref. 22890], Van Tassell 2011:145 [ref. 31732], de Lucena et al.2013:143 [ref. 32517], Angulo et al. 2013:1009 [ref. 33194]). Current status: Valid as Sicydium cocoense (Heller & Snodgrass 1903). Gobiidae: Sicydiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Cocos Island [amphidromous]. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
