paludosus, Ctenogobius Herre [A. W. C. T.] 1940:23, Pl. 18 [Bulletin of the Raffles Museum No. 16; ref. 2130] 5 miles north of Kota Tinggi, Johore, Malaysia. Holotype (unique): CAS-SU 32998. Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:111 [ref. 12291]. Pseudogobiopsis is feminine, therefore correction of the adjective to paludosa. •Valid as Eugnathogobius paludosus (Herre 1940) -- (Larson 2001:70 [ref. 25522]). •Valid as Pseudogobiopsis paludosa (Herre 1940) -- (Larson 2009:163 [ref. 30125] as paludosus, Kottelat 2013:422 [ref. 32989], Larson et al. 2017:180 [ref. 35338] as paludosus, Allen & Larson 2020:40 [ref. 37851] as paludosus). Current status: Valid as Pseudogobiopsis paludosa (Herre 1940). Gobiidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra. Habitat: freshwater.
