Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:145 [ref. 12291]. •Valid as Aspasmichthys ciconiae (Jordan & Fowler 1902) -- (Briggs 1955:134 [ref. 637], Yoshino in Masuda et al. 1984:341 [ref. 6441], Lindberg et al. 1997:192 [ref. 23547], Hutchins in Randall & Lim 2000:598 [ref. 25122] as ciconae, Nakabo 2000:1121 [ref. 25182], Nakabo 2002:1121 [ref. 26193], Choi et al. 2003:389, 651 [ref. 26218], Yoshigou 2019:196 [ref. 36714], Sonoyama et al. 2020:100 [ref. 37637]). Current status: Valid as Aspasmichthys ciconiae (Jordan & Fowler 1902). Gobiesocidae: Diademichthyinae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific: Taiwan to southern Korea and Japan. Habitat: marine.
