Paratypes: CAS 60584 [ex IU 9954] (1), ZMB 16946 (1). The paratype is referable to Steindachnerina brevipinna according to Vari 1992:17 [ref. 19021]. •Synonym of Curimatella dorsalis (Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1889) -- (Vari 1992:11 [ref. 19021], Britski et al. 1999:74 [ref. 24147], Vari in Reis et al. 2003:53 [ref. 27061], Mirande & Koerber 2015:11 [ref. 35117], Koerber et al. 2017:13 [ref. 35267]). Current status: Synonym of Curimatella dorsalis (Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1889). Curimatidae. Habitat: freshwater.
