Original genus should have been spelled Cantherhines. •Synonym of Cantherhines dumerilii (Hollard 1854) -- (Randall 1995:396 [ref. 22896], Lindberg et al. 1997:91 [ref. 23547], Mundy 2005:528 [ref. 28379], Randall 2011:9 [ref. 31468]). Current status: Synonym of Cantherhines dumerilii (Hollard 1854). Monacanthidae. Habitat: marine.
