Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:31 [ref. 12291], Gilbert 1998:58 [ref. 23395]. •Synonym of Yuriria alta (Jordan 1880) -- (Gilbert 1998:58 [ref. 23395]). •Valid as Yuriria chapalae (Jordan & Snyder 1899 ) -- (Nelson et al. 2004:78 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2005:42 [ref. 28940], Miller 2006:142 [ref. 28615], Domínguez-Domínguez et al. 2007:263 [ref. 29756], Page et al. 2013:78 [ref. 32708], Stout et al. 2022:15 [ref. 39738] as chaplalae, Page et al. 2023:76 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Yuriria chapalae (Jordan & Snyder 1899). Cyprinidae: Pogonichthyinae. Distribution: Southwestern North America: Laguna de Chapala (Mexico). Habitat: freshwater.
