Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:140 [ref. 12291] as isoceles. •Valid as Paralichthys isosceles Jordan 1891 -- (Nakamura in Nakamura et al. 1986:298 [ref. 14235], Menezes & Figueiredo in Menezes et al. 2003:106 [ref. 27192], Díaz de Astarloa & Fabré 2003:124 [ref. 27726], Díaz de Astarloa & Munroe 1998:5 [ref. 38548], Díaz de Astarloa et al. 2006:241 [ref. 28684], Mabragaña et al. 2011:10 and table S2 [ref. 31800] as belonging to a new genus, Nión et al. 2016:54 [ref. 35565], Díaz de Astarloa et al. 2018:14 [ref. 36025], Carvalho-Filho 2023:273 [ref. 40480], Hoff et al. 2023:7 [ref. 40463]). Current status: Valid as Paralichthys isosceles Jordan 1891. Paralichthyidae. Distribution: Southwestern Atlantic: Bahia (Brazil) south to Gulf of San Jorge (Argentina). Habitat: marine.
