Holotype: CAS 47404 [ex IU 11214]. Paratypes: AMNH 1329 (1), 1385 (4), 1394 (2), 1414 (2); CAS 47434 [ex IU 11218] (4); FMNH 7934-35 (3, 4), 7963 (6), 7969 (1), 56177-80 (4, 5, 1, 3); NMW 84462-64 (3, 2, 2), 87599-603 (1, 5, 2, 4, 3); USNM 73935 (2), 73954-56 (1, 1, 5), 73965 (4); ZSM 10156 [ex NMW 87559] (1). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:83 [ref. 12367]. •Valid as Atherinella meeki (Miller 1907) -- (Chernoff 1986:244 [ref. 5847], Dyer in Reis et al. 2003:516 [ref. 27061]). Current status: Valid as Atherinella meeki (Miller 1907). Atherinopsidae: Menidiinae. Distribution: Central America: Atlantic slope, Guatemala and Honduas. Habitat: freshwater.
