Lectotype selected by Vari & Harold 2001:188 [ref. 25842]. •Valid as Creagrutus phasma Myers 1927 -- (Vari & Harold 2001:186 [ref. 25842], Vari & Harold in Reis et al. 2003:125 [ref. 27061], Román-Valencia & Cala 1997:149 [ref. 30645], Mirande et al. 2013:763 [ref. 33366], Thomaz et al. 2015:Add. 5 [ref. 33893], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:58 [ref. 35633], Albornoz-Garzón et al. 2018:352 [ref. 36150]). Current status: Valid as Creagrutus phasma Myers 1927. Characidae: Stevardiinae. Distribution: Upper Negro River basin north to Orinoco River basin: Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
