Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:44 [ref. 12291], Ferraris 2007:413 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Acanthopoma bondi Myers 1942 -- (Burgess 1989:324 [ref. 12860]). •Valid as Schultzichthys bondi (Myers 1942) -- (de Pinna & Wosiacki in Reis et al. 2003:278 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:413 [ref. 29155], Barriga Salazar 2014:111 [ref. 35745], DoNascimiento 2015:951 [ref. 34078], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:71 [ref. 35633], Urbano-Bonilla et al. 2018:78 [ref. 35773], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:24 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Schultzichthys bondi (Myers 1942). Trichomycteridae: Stegophilinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon and Orinoco River basins (Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela). Habitat: freshwater.
