R.] 1998:131, Fig. 12 [Natural History Bulletin of the Siam Society v. 46 (no. 1); ref. 23549] Huay Kong, just below mouth of Huay Long River, near kilometer 45 on highway 1126, northwest of Mae Hong Son, Salween basin, Thailand. Holotype: CAS 94463. Paratypes: CAS 94464-69 (2, 22, 2, 1, 56, 10); MCSNG 48357 (1). •Valid as Poropuntius scapanognathus Roberts 1998. •Synonym of Poropuntius hampaloides (Vinciguerra 1890) with question -- (Kottelat 2013:144 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Poropuntius hampaloides (Vinciguerra 1890). Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: Thanland (if valid). Habitat: freshwater.
