Current status: Valid as Sigmistes caulias Rutter 1898. Cottidae: Psychrolutinae. Distribution: North Pacific: Pribilof Islands and Aleutian Islands (U.S.A.) to western Gulf of Alaska (U.S.A.). Habitat: marine.
