hancocki, Agonostomus Seale [A.] 1932:467 [Proceedings of the California Academy of Sciences (Series 4) v. 20 (no. 10); ref. 16523] About 1/2 miles up freshwater stream emptying into freshwater bay on southern side of San Cristóbal Island [Chatham Island], Galápagos Islands. Holotype: CAS 838. Paratypes: LACM 22524 (1). See Bussing 1998:388 [ref. 24179]. •Synonym of Agonostomus monticola (Bancroft 1834) -- (Thomson 1997:465 [ref. 23428], Grove & Lavenberg 1997:459 [ref. 24023], Harrison 2003:1077 [ref. 27016], Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:655 [ref. 27061], Miller 2006:181 [ref. 28615]). •Synonym of Dajaus monticola (Bancroft 1834). Current status: Synonym of Dajaus monticola (Bancroft 1834). Mugilidae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
