Paratypes: SIO 45-16D (1); 45-215C (2), 45-219A (1), 61-404 (2), 61-405 (5) (ex UCLA W46-3, W54-364); CAS-SU 18114 (14), 67330 [ex CAS-SU 18114] (1 c&s); UCLA W46-2 (2). •Valid as Rimicola dimorpha Briggs 1955 -- (Eschmeyer & Herald 1983:110 [ref. 9277], Briggs 2002:443 [ref. 26018], Nelson et al. 2004:168 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:159 [ref. 37547], Page et al. 2013:173 [ref. 32708], Kells et al. 2016:351 [ref. 35888], Love et al. 2021:202 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Rimicola dimorpha Briggs 1955. Gobiesocidae: Gobiesocinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern California (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of central Baja California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
