Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:49 [ref. 12291]. •Valid as Callechels perryae Storey 1939 -- (Robins & Ray 1986:62 [ref. 23100], Leiby 1990:180 [ref. 13652], Castro-Aguirre et al. 1999:98 [ref. 24550]). •Synonym of Callechelys guineensis (Osório 1893) -- (McCosker et al. 1989:308 [ref. 13288], McCosker 1998:198 [ref. 23298]).
