Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:70 [ref. 12367]. •Valid as Pseudanos irinae Winterbottom 1980 -- (Taphorn 1992:60 [ref. 23654], Garavello & Britski in Reis et al. 2003:79 [ref. 27061], Sidlauskas & Santos 2005:121 [ref. 28904], Birindelli et al. 2012:56 [ref. 32125]). •Synonym of Pseudanos trimaculatus (Kner 1858) -- (Birindelli et al. 2012:55 [ref. 32125], Mirande & Koerber 2015:13 [ref. 35117], DoNascimiento 2016:528 [ref. 34727], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:[4] [ref. 35679]). Current status: Synonym of Pseudanos trimaculatus (Kner 1858). Anostomidae. Distribution: South America: Orinoco River basin (Venezuela east to Guyana) [if valid]. Habitat: freshwater.
