Holotype: CAS-SU 36535. Paratypes: CAS-SU 36536 (1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:117 [ref. 12291]. •Valid as Sicydium fayae Brock 1942 -- (Hoese in Fischer et al. 1995:1135 [ref. 22829], Van Tassell 2011:145 [ref. 31732], de Lucena et al.2013:1432 [ref. 32517]). Current status: Valid as Sicydium fayae Brock 1942. Gobiidae: Sicydiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Mexico [amphidromous]. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
