Holotype (unique): CAS 3245. •Valid as Clarkichthys bilineatus (Clark 1936) -- (Dawson 1974:440 [ref. 7122], Grove & Lavenberg 1997:561 [ref. 24023] [but see McCosker 1998:810 [ref. 24025]], Nelson et al. 2004:173 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:163 [ref. 37547], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:194 [ref. 30957], Van Tassell 2011:146 [ref. 31732], Page et al. 2013:179 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Clarkichthys bilineatus (Clark 1936). Microdesmidae: Microdesminae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern tip of Baja California Sur (Mexico) south to Ecuador, including Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.
