Holotype: CAS 3156. Paratypes: (orig. 17) CAS 3050-51 (1, 1), 3138-45 (8), 3239-3244 (now 4). •Synonym of Halichoeres nicholsi (Jordan & Gilbert 1882) -- (Bussing 1987:96 [ref. 21800] with question, Grove & Lavenberg 1997:494 [ref. 24023], Parenti & Randall 2000:22 [ref. 24943]). Current status: Synonym of Halichoeres nicholsi (Jordan & Gilbert 1882). Labridae. Habitat: marine.
