Holotype (unique): CAS-SU 53270. •Valid as Liparis newmani Cohen 1960 -- (Lindberg & Krasyukova 1987:400 [ref. 15964], Chernova et al. 2004:27 [ref. 27592], Chernova 2008:841 [ref. 30236]). Current status: Valid as Liparis newmani Cohen 1960. Liparidae. Distribution: Western North Pacific: Yellow Sea; known only from the holotype. Habitat: marine.
