Additional original material: CAS 67005 [ex IU 15017] (8), 67007 [ex IU 13797] (2), 67008 [ex IU 13779] (1). •Valid as Aequidens metae Eigenmann 1922 -- (Lasso & Machado-Allison 2000:36 [ref. 27968], Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:608 [ref. 27061], Hernández-Acevedo et al. 2015:104 [ref. 34438], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:99 [ref. 35633], Urbano-Bonilla et al. 2018:91 [ref. 35773], Cortés Hernández et al. 2023:457 [ref. 40760]). Current status: Valid as Aequidens metae Eigenmann 1922. Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: South America: Orinoco River basin (Colombia) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
