Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:418 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Trichomycterus heterodontum (Eigenmann 1917) -- (Burgess 1989:322 [ref. 12860], Fernández 2000:32 [ref. 26195], Miquelarena & Fernández 2000:44 [ref. 27633], López et al. 2002:60 [ref. 26808], López et al. 2003:40 [ref. 27366], Menni 2004:82 [ref. 28131]). •Valid as Trichomycterus heterodontus (Eigenmann 1917) -- (de Pinna & Wosiacki in Reis et al. 2003:281 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:418 [ref. 29155] dated 1918, Sarmiento et al. 2014:193 [ref. 35004], Mirande & Koerber 2015:38 [ref. 35117]). Current status: Valid as Trichomycterus heterodontus (Eigenmann 1917). Trichomycteridae: Trichomycterinae. Distribution: Mendoza River basin, Argentina and Bolivia. Habitat: freshwater.
